Zeesen is a district of the town of Königs Wusterhausen and belongs to the district of Dahme-Spreewald in Brandenburg. The district is located in the south-east of Berlin in an idyllic setting between forest and water near Zeesener See lake with a well-developed infrastructure. Until 26 October 2003, Zeesen was an independent municipality. The proximity to the capital and the location on the Berlin lake district led to a high population growth in the 21st century. Many young families were and still are attracted to the community.
